Can't I just check my own fluids at home?
You can check some of them. Engine oil, coolant, and washer fluid are usually easy to eyeball, but others like brake, transmission, and power steering fluid are harder to reach or read, and condition matters as much as level.
We're open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday if you would like a hand.
There's a puddle under my car. How do I know which fluid is leaking?
The color and location give you a strong hint.
It is easy to mix some of the fluids up, though, so bring it to Bernhard Auto Works and our trustworthy
technicians will confirm what it is and where it is coming from.
Do I still need fluid inspections if my vehicle is newer?
Yes, even newer vehicles benefit from them.
Some cars use long-life or sealed fluids that need attention less often, but "less often" is not "never," and levels can still drop or fluids can still degrade. Stop in during Mon-Fri: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM | Sat-Sun: Closed.
